This 6-acre sanctuary has 0.3 miles of trails and is named for the millions of fireflies that call this preserve home. The Firefly Sanctuary is home to one of the largest populations of fireflies in the region. The fireflies emerge in early July and are best viewed from the field in the northwest corner of the property.
Visitors can park along Sleepy Hollow Road, directly across from 33 Sleepy Hollow Rd. There is a small footbridge leading to a well-marked trail through the woods.
